How it all started

Our products started with one problem… how do I keep my valuables safe on the beach if we all want to go swim? And so the Sun Kist was born… and quickly became so much more! In this first product we manage to create a product that:

• Provides a lockable safe to store your valuables;
• generates rental income for umbrella vendors;
• keeps beachgoers protected from the sun - more likely to rent an umbrella if it comes with a lockable safe;
• reduces thefts on the beach and from parked cars;
• re-deploys police resource from watching cars to serving beach goers;
• provides an advertising opportunity and perpetual income for the Sun Kist vendors;
• all “skins” are made by and profits go to the NPO, Taking Care of Business (TCOB);
• keeps tyres out of landfill; and
• if you add a portable solar panel you can charge your devices whilst you swim

It can also be used for:

• movable umbrella stand for home;
• poolside table at home, hotel or other resort;
• movable base for a clothes line;
• ottoman or seating that is movable, lockable and fits indoor clothes lines
• base for sports equipment that requires a stable platform e.g. swingball, volleyball, etc.
• lockable seat / umbrella stand for sports teams at schools whilst they’re on field; and
• whatever other creative way you want to use it!
